Southwest Airlines is having a sale, so now might be the time to book your fall travel.

Tickets must be purchased before June 13th, 2013, at 11:59 pm for travel August 26th, 2013 through December 18th, 2013. There are some black-out dates and not every route has the sale fares available.

This sale is “distance-based” so Southwest is promoting pricing based on the distance of your flight:

• 0-500 miles from $49
• 501-1,250 miles from $99
• 1,251-1,750 miles from $129
• 1,751+ miles from $149

As with many Southwest Airlines sales, other airlines are matching fares on some routes. People over on FlyerTalk have already confirmed that American, Delta, US Airways, and United are already matching some routes. You may not have to fly Southwest to take advantage of this sale!
