About Aaron Hurd

World Traveler. Competitive Ballroom Dancer. Aspiring Marathoner.

Who is Aaron Hurd?

My whole travel kick started a few years ago, during a weekend trip to Seattle; I received my first First Class upgrade on Northwest Airlines, which I thought was pretty cool. Since then, I’ve figured out how the system works and used that knowledge to travel all over the world in First and Business Class, for almost free. I’ve taken weekend trips to South Africa, Japan, Peru, Germany, and Copenhagen. I’ve traveled the Trans-Siberian Railroad and Silk Road during a summer when I traveled half-way around the globe on sleeper trains. Along the way, I’ve made countless memories, developed lasting friendships, gained a better understanding of myself, and been inspired by the kindness of strangers.

I try to give back in a number of ways. I aspire to make this blog my contribution to the larger traveling community.

In November, I will start a new job as a consultant in Accenture’s operations practice, based out of Minneapolis.
