What went on in the travel blogosphere this week…

Lots of Drama and misinformation on SkyMiles cuts. At first, a few blogs announced that stopovers were gone from international award tickets. Fortunately, FrequentMiler did his homework before posting and discovered that the award stopovers are only partially broken. Substantial cuts to SkyMiles without notice seems to be the MO at Delta.

American, meanwhile, announced that there will be minimal changes to their awards program in 2015. This is great news, especially in light of all of the cuts that Delta and United have been making to their frequent flyer programs.

Marriott has announced that, next year, ALL members of its loyalty program will receive basic internet for free at most of its properties.
