Alaska Airlines continues to impress me with their commitment to their customers. One of my biggest frustrations with checking baggage is how long I have to wait at some stations for the bags to be delivered. Waiting 45 minutes or an hour for bags is an experience nobody wants to have, but almost every traveler who regularly checks bags has had this experience. Getting bags to customers in a reasonable amount of time? Alaska Airlines has accepted that challenge and now guarantees that your bags will be delivered in 20 minutes or less.

Here’s how this works: “If your baggage is not at baggage claim within 20 minutes of your plane parking at the gate, you’re entitled to a $20 Discount Code for use on a future Alaska Airlines flight or 2,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan bonus miles.” Of course, there are (limited) exceptions and it only applies to Alaska- or Horizon-operated flights, but if you’re flying to or from Seattle, flying Alaska is a good way to guarantee that your bags will be delivered on time.
